![]() Nah, I haven't made a Rocksteady account before. you kind of have to unless you just format'd your pc 1hr ago and it is 100% vanilla. If anything, can always try on a diff pc, tether connection, isp, and rule out a few other things. and only testing is going to sort it out. That is not the giant link of all sorts of problems that can manifest via connection issues, background software, malware, settings, etc etc.įor the last few weeks quite a few people have been having various problems logging in - mostly those from overseas. (I last remember the website ASKING people to update their info, which is what logging in would have hopefully prompted as well if that was the case - might still be something to check) Again, that's a single paragraph - and a simple test. Old social club accounts can choke on the lack of regional information or an OLD password. ![]() Originally posted by psykoteky:In some cases - you'd be surprised as to what can cause problems. You know - because they added the launcher, have ongoing issues with antivirus/security, windows updates/ os/versions, admin/perms, vcredists, peoples' pc/setup/installs, mod users, certificates, connectivity issues on both ends and everywhere in between, and more. End users can't unlink that themselves - only R* can (without losing the game.). In some cases older steam accounts may have already been linked to a social club account for other games / reasons - if that is the case then THAT is the steam account that must be used. The issue started appearing around 3-4 days ago and I was in game during the initial disconnect. I've tested this on another device using the same network and it had a connection time out on the rockstar social club website as well, this leads me to believe that the issue is somewhere between the router and the rockstar servers and has little/nothing to do with my PC settings. Using a VPN fixes it but it's an unviable solution due to low speed and the fact that it breaks many other things ![]()
